The wall and liner system
Clarify exactly what the original scope includes and which components carry separate coverage.
Supporting cost guide
Vinyl-liner pricing needs two separate budgets: the original build and the future replacement of a wearing component.
For a new vinyl-lined pool project, the $20,000–$40,000 shown below is broad national entry context, not a finished Wave project price. A replacement liner is a separate ownership scope: its timing and cost vary with the existing pool, and Wave has not confirmed general liner-replacement service. Ask whether a specific existing pool is a fit.

Decision frame
A useful comparison keeps the initial installation scope and the liner's future replacement planning in different rows.
| Budget layer | National context | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| New vinyl-lined pool | $20,000–$40,000 | Treat this as broad national entry context, not the cost of a finished Wave environment. |
| Future liner | Budget separately | The liner is a replaceable component; the timing and cost are not a Wave warranty or confirmed replacement service. |
| Complete project | Property-specific | Add site work, decks, utilities, fencing, features, and design-and-permitting scope. |
National context: NerdWallet reports the new-install range shown above. River Pools separately reports a 5-to-9-year liner-life planning band. Neither is a Wave price, service promise, or warranty term.
Scope before price
Clarify exactly what the original scope includes and which components carry separate coverage.
Access, excavation, grading, drainage, and surrounding conditions can change the work.
Coping, decks, fencing, features, structures, lighting, and utilities belong in the full project.
Treat future liner work as an ownership question. Wave's liner-replacement scope remains ask-form only for a specific existing pool.
Observed vinyl-cost questions
National entry figures begin lower than many fiberglass and gunite/concrete examples, but they do not define the complete property, deck, utility, safety, feature, design, and permitting scope.
Published replacement figures vary by pool size, shape, liner, site, and labor. Wave has not confirmed liner replacement as a general service, so ask about the specific existing pool before treating that work as available.
A dimension alone does not settle a replacement price. Shape, condition, preparation, liner selection, and labor remain part of the scope, and Wave's replacement capability is not confirmed as a blanket service.
The same rule applies: size is one input, not a quote. A contractor must assess the existing pool and define preparation, material, and installation; ask Wave whether the specific project is a fit.
